Our History

RIBA was created at the end of 2014, with the aim to becoming the representative business association for the Romania-Ireland connection. Through various cultural, business and social events RIBA has consolidated its central position as central nexus for the Irish and Romanian business communities.

About RIBA

Romania Ireland Business Association (RIBA) is an independent, non-profit organisation working in close partnership with the Embassy of Ireland in Romania to promote and develop Irish-Romanian trade and investment links.

Our objectives

We aim to strengthen the economic ties between Romania and Ireland, and act as a business interface and primary point of contact for Irish and Romanian investors and Government agencies.

We strive to create a fertile and richly value added space for our members, by offering connective leads to expert matter resources, business opportunities, non-biased but well informed advice as well as tailored made solutions in a roadmap to success for our members’ businesses.

We act as a catalyst for ideas and strengthen the business, social and cultural ties between the Irish and Romanian communities.

Board Objectives

The Board’s objectives are to articulate the appropriate strategy and measures to ensure the implementation of the association’s mission. The Board is ensuring the appropriate measures and execution plan to increase RIBA’s reach and standing with its members and appropriate Government agencies. The Board is responsible for the safe and sound oversight of the executive activity and proper deployment of financial, human and any other resources in order to achieve the association’s stated mission and goals.
